Pay rate range (CAD): $68.84/hr – $82.61/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical experts, project teams, and external vendors to provide leadership and guidance.
- Work autonomously as a senior or lead developer, coaching team members within your area of expertise.
- Take overall accountability for solution design and deliverables.
- Assist in effort estimation for new projects and initiatives alongside architects and managers.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions by working closely with business analysts and developing System Requirements Specifications (SRS).
- Lead the creation of end-to-end solution designs, coordinating with Solution Architects and Design teams to develop System Design Specifications (SDS).
- Ensure detailed technical designs are fully understood and development aligns with standards and design intent.
- Conduct code reviews to guarantee quality, adherence to standards, reusability, and maintainability.
- Deliver solutions on time and within budget, meeting key project milestones and complying with security and quality standards.
- Keep current with emerging technologies and develop expertise to enhance solution design and delivery.
- Provide technical support for escalated incidents to ensure efficient resolution with minimal impact.
- Support application deployment planning and participate in multiple concurrent projects, managing workload effectively.
- Promote a positive team environment focused on service, quality, innovation, and teamwork.
- Share knowledge within the team and across business units.
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of mobile development experience, with at least 3 years working with Kotlin on Android.
- Proven hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose libraries.
- Proficiency with development tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, and Emulator.
- Solid knowledge of software design patterns including MVC, MVP, and MVVM.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Robolectric, and Espresso.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical thinker with proven problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-oriented approach and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with analytics tools like Dynatrace, SonarQube, Crashlytics, etc.
- Experience leading or mentoring technical team members.
- Exposure to working within distributed teams comprising onshore and offshore developers.
- Industry experience in financial services.
