Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Manual QA Tester-ETL/SQL/Banking. This position involves supporting quality assurance activities, data validation, and testing initiatives within the Finance Operations – Performance Management Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing manual test cases, validating data integrity, and collaborating across finance and analytics teams to improve reporting accuracy and system performance.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $36.23/hr
Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases on financial systems and reporting platforms
- Develop and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts
- Analyze large datasets using Excel to identify anomalies and data issues
- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation
- Document, track, and communicate defects for resolution
- Collaborate with finance, technical, and analytics stakeholders to ensure quality standards
Desired Skill-Set
- 3-5 years of Manual QA testing experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas)
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, subqueries)
- Experience testing data-centric applications, financial reporting systems, or ETL processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Banking or financial services industry experience
- Experience supporting Finance Operations or financial reporting teams
- Knowledge of general ledger, financial accounting, or reconciliation processes
- Experience with capital markets or finance platforms
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools
- Experience working with large enterprise data environments
