Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Associate Supplier Manager. This position involves overseeing vendor negotiations, contract execution, and maintaining strong supplier relationships within a dynamic financial services environment. The successful candidate will support contract compliance, monitor performance, and collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to optimize operational efficiency and risk management.

Pay rate range (CAD): $51.45/hr – $61.74/hr

Responsibilities

  • Provide input to vendor management policies and procedures.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in vendor arrangements and business processes.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues escalated by end-users or management.
  • Support documentation, process controls, and knowledge asset development for program operations.
  • Coordinate budgets and report on actual results versus projections.
  • Prepare financial reconciliations and attestation certificates as required.
  • Educate and cross-train team members on vendor processes.
  • Develop and promote vendor management program components aligned with business strategies.
  • Advise on the implementation of supplier arrangements.
  • Manage relationships between internal teams and suppliers/service providers.
  • Ensure program deliverables meet contractual SLAs, TSAs, or BPA standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance, addressing issues promptly.
  • Execute routine and non-routine transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment.
  • Analyze data and information to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Create regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Work independently on complex and unique tasks, exercising sound judgment.
  • Apply risk management principles to protect the organization and ensure compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Typically 2-4 years of relevant experience, or recent postsecondary education with supporting vendor programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of supporting vendor programs and business processes.
  • Technical proficiency through education or business experience.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Influence skills with stakeholder engagement.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills.

Nice to Have

  • Postsecondary education, especially relevant fields.
  • Prior financial institution experience, particularly with BMO.
  • Experience with Coupa or similar procurement systems.
  • Comfort with AI tools such as Copilot.
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
