Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Supplier Manager. This position involves overseeing vendor negotiations, contract execution, and relationship management within a dynamic financial services environment. The role emphasizes strong governance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder collaboration to optimize supplier performance and compliance.
Pay rate range (CAD): $57.97/hr – $69.57/hr
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business units, providing expertise in vendor management and process optimization.
- Lead negotiations and influence vendor relationships to meet business outcomes.
- Identify emerging issues and trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Contribute to the development of vendor management strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and interpret quarterly management reports.
- Develop and maintain vendor management programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Investigate and resolve complex vendor-related issues escalated by stakeholders.
- Support documentation, process controls, and knowledge management for program efficiency.
- Coordinate budgets, monitor actual results versus forecasts, and prepare financial reports.
- Review and enhance vendor management processes; recommend industry-aligned improvements.
- Participate in the design, negotiation, and renewal of service level and business partner agreements.
- Manage supplier contracts and monitor performance against SLAs, TSAs, and BPAs.
- Oversee invoice processing, billing, and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Validate business continuity and disaster recovery plans for suppliers.
- Cross-train team members and promote vendor management best practices.
- Develop and deliver operational and strategic reports, dashboards, and insights.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Analyze data to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.
- Support the vendor program's broader enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring contractual and performance compliance.
- Exercise sound judgment within a risk management framework, making informed decisions aligned with organizational policies.

- Prior experience in financial institutions or banking.
- Previous BMO or similar financial institution vendor program experience.
- Comfort with AI tools such as Copilot or similar.
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
