Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Audit & Compliance Analyst – Banking. This position involves supporting internal control testing and risk assessment processes within a dynamic banking environment, offering a long-term contract with excellent opportunities to expand governance and control expertise.

Pay Rate (CAD): $57.97/hr – $69.57/hr

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective and efficient internal control testing in alignment with second-line requirements
  • Assist in creating and maintaining inventories such as Value Chain, Assessable Unit, and Unique Business Process
  • Evaluate multiple processes simultaneously, consolidating risks and controls to identify gaps and eliminate redundancies
  • Support Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) documentation and collaborate with risk partners during execution
  • Perform control testing within established deadlines, applying company testing methodologies
  • Analyze and track exceptions, support the development of remediation plans, and address internal control gaps
  • Assist in assessing Key Risk Indicators and identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to ad-hoc risk and control initiatives, ensuring continuous process enhancements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support audit and quality control testing activities

Desired Skill-Set

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in risk, audit, or compliance roles
  • Advanced knowledge of governance, risk, and control procedures, strategies, and tactics
  • Previous audit experience and quality control testing expertise
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel (formulas) and experience with MS PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Strong analytical, research, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities

Nice to Have

  • Wholesale banking operations experience
  • Aris process mapping tool familiarity
  • Knowledge of current trends in governance and risk management
  • Experience with data analysis tools and reporting techniques
  • Understanding of TDS business operations and processes
