Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Automation Test Lead – Playwright/Python. This position involves developing and maintaining UI automation frameworks, orchestrating automated testing for data engineering workflows, and supporting the enhancement of QA automation capabilities across multiple applications. The role offers an exciting opportunity to lead offshore QA efforts and collaborate on large-scale, high-impact projects within a global asset management environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright for web applications.
- Create and execute automated tests for Databricks data workflows, including notebooks and ETL pipelines.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation and delivery.
- Collaborate with developers and data engineers to establish and uphold quality standards.
- Analyze test results, document findings, and provide actionable insights for improvements.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for both frontend and backend components.
- Utilize JavaScript/TypeScript and Python for automation scripting.
- Lead future offshore QA automation team on test automation and execution.
- Support manual testing efforts as needed to ensure quality assurance.
Desired Skill-Set
- Proven experience with Playwright automation (JavaScript/TypeScript/Python).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Experience with data reconciliation and data testing.
- API testing capabilities.
- Ability to convert manual test cases into automated scripts.

- Prior experience within global asset management or financial markets.
- Leadership skills, particularly leading offshore QA teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
