Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. DevOps Engineer-Azure Databricks/Banking. This position involves designing, building, and supporting enterprise Azure and Databricks platforms, with a focus on automation, security, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be instrumental in deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure throughout its lifecycle, contributing to long-term project success.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support enterprise Azure cloud infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments
- Deploy, configure, and secure Azure Databricks workspaces and associated services
- Administer Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage solutions, Networking, Monitoring, Backup, and Disaster Recovery
- Develop highly available, scalable, and secure cloud architectures
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, security, and performance issues
- Implement cloud security controls, governance, and operational best practices
- Support cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives
- Create and maintain operational standards, procedures, and technical runbooks
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bicep
- Automate deployment, patching, monitoring, and compliance processes
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting platform upgrades and configurations
- Utilize PowerShell and Python to automate operational tasks and improve platform consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automated platform solutions
Desired Skill-Set
- 7+ years of infrastructure/cloud/platform engineering experience
- Proven experience building enterprise Azure environments from scratch
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Azure IaaS services, Windows Server, and Databricks platforms
- Proficiency in administering Azure VMs, App Services, Storage, Networking, Monitoring, and Backup solutions
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve advanced infrastructure and security issues
- Knowledge of cloud security controls, governance, and compliance standards
- Experience supporting cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Skilled in creating operational standards and technical documentation
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bicep
- Experience developing automation with PowerShell and Python
Nice to Have
- Relevant certifications such as Azure or Databricks certifications
- Experience working in highly regulated or financial sector environments
- Knowledge of disaster recovery testing and resiliency planning
- Familiarity with source control systems like Git
