Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a BI Developer – Tableau / Databricks. This position involves designing, developing, and supporting advanced reporting solutions that enable insightful business decisions within a dynamic environment. The work primarily focuses on building dashboards, scorecards, and data products, leveraging large datasets and cloud-based analytics tools, with an emphasis on accuracy, performance, and stakeholder collaboration.
Pay rate range (CAD): $62.66/hr – $75.20/hr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver Power BI and Tableau dashboards, scorecards, and standardized reports aligned with business requirements
- Utilize Azure Databricks, SQL, and PySpark to query, validate, and transform large datasets for reporting purposes
- Ensure KPI definition clarity, data quality, and consistency across multiple stakeholders
- Translate stakeholder needs into actionable insights through effective visuals and storytelling
- Manage end-to-end reporting deliverables, including requirements gathering, testing, release, and support
- Collaborate proactively within the team to share best practices and continuously improve BI standards
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, quality control, and attention to detail in all deliverables
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics roles
- Strong expertise working with Azure Databricks, SQL, and PySpark on large data volumes
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, and performance tuning
- Experience working with Tableau, with coding skills in SQL, Python, or PySpark preferred
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, reliable, and scalable BI solutions
- Excellent attention to detail and data quality practices
- Proven ownership and accountability for project outcomes
- Strong communication skills and effective team collaboration abilities
Nice to Have
- Experience with dimensional modeling or semantic models for BI applications
- Supporting enterprise dashboards and defining consistent KPIs across multiple stakeholder groups
- Exposure to wealth management reporting or financial services environments
