Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Systems Analyst – Payments. This position involves supporting critical payment processing systems within a dynamic IT project team, focusing on cross-border transactions and real-time money movement. The role offers an exciting opportunity for senior professionals to contribute to large-scale payment engines and core platforms, with hands-on involvement in high-impact projects.
Pay rate range (CAD): $65.52/hr – $78.26/hr
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements (BRDs) and solution specifications
- Participate in daily stand-ups and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
- Review product functionality and maintain documentation in Confluence
- Engage with stakeholders to validate requirements and clarify expectations
- Create user stories, journeys, and design documentation
- Work with solution and development teams to define and refine technical solutions
- Coordinate between business, development, and QA teams to ensure alignment and clarity
- Track project progress, support QA testing, and ensure comprehensive requirement coverage
- Communicate solutions, processes, and updates effectively to stakeholders
- Maintain project documentation in Jira, Confluence, and Visio
- Develop reporting dashboards using Power BI (SQL skills not required)
- Demonstrate strong understanding of real-time money movement concepts (RTR) and cross-border payments
Desired Skill-Set
- SME-level expertise in payment processing systems
- Deep knowledge of cross-border payments and real-time money movement (RTR)
- Strong domain understanding of payments, including hybrid and address change handling
- Hands-on experience with wire processing systems
- Experience working with external stakeholder requirements (AODA, KYC, AML, fraud teams)
- Familiarity with ISO standards in payments
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder demands and complex requirements
- Soft skills including proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, critical thinking, and ownership
Nice to Have
- Banking industry experience
- Power BI proficiency
- Project management or leadership experience
- Prior experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
