Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst – GRC to support critical risk management initiatives within an enterprise governance framework. This position offers a dynamic environment for motivated professionals eager to enhance their product and business analysis skills while ensuring business continuity.

Pay rate range (CAD): $72.46/hr – $86.95/hr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, and stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business requirements
  • Translate risk management and operational resilience processes into clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, guided by senior team members
  • Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization activities by preparing and organizing requirements and documentation
  • Conduct basic gap analysis and support impact assessments for new features, enhancements, and regulatory-related changes
  • Assist in tracking deliverables from initiation through completion, ensuring requirements are clearly documented and aligned with business needs
  • Prepare materials, reports, and updates for team members and stakeholders, with opportunities to develop presentation skills
  • Support user-facing activities including troubleshooting, responding to inquiries, managing tickets, and delivering product demos
  • Partner with QA teams to support testing, validate functionality, and confirm requirements are met
  • Facilitate or support workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and clarify questions
  • Monitor and report on progress, risks, and dependencies throughout the product lifecycle
  • Perform data analysis to support requirements development, issue investigation, and decision-making

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in banking or financial services, specifically within top Canadian banks or financial institutions
  • Familiarity with enterprise risk management frameworks
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to financial operations
  • Experience in conducting impact assessments and gap analysis
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
