Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst-Payments in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will provide strategic analysis and leadership within the Project Delivery, Modernization, and Enablement team to support international payments initiatives and cross-border transaction solutions.
Pay rate range (CAD): $65.22/hr – $78.26/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business Partners, Technology teams, and Stakeholders to assess current processes and define target architectures and roadmaps
- Document detailed business requirements, process flows, and use cases aligned with organizational strategies
- Lead stakeholder engagement, presentations, and workshops to facilitate understanding and approval of deliverables
- Develop and execute test plans, support user acceptance testing, and manage change initiatives
- Identify and mitigate project risks, track milestones, and ensure deliverables meet timelines and budgets
- Manage project documentation, including plans, issues, risks, actions, and decision logs
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate communication among technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Provide project leadership by proactively addressing obstacles and maintaining project momentum
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience
- Proficiency with Jira (5+ years)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with payments systems and processes
- Strong SQL and Power BI reporting skills (2+ years)
- Analytical skills with tables, reference data, and edge reporting
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Experience defining and reengineering processes and documenting business requirements
- Ability to investigate complex problems and communicate insights effectively
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple stakeholders
- Understanding of end-to-end payment flows and customer journeys
Nice to Have
- Banking experience
- Previous FI experience
- Payment rails expertise
- Knowledge of AI and Data Bricks platforms
- Background working with cards, wires, Interac, and cross-border payments
