Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Customer Service Representative-Insurance/Banking. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential back-office functions within a collaborative team, gaining exposure to banking and insurance processes, with flexible work arrangements.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $21.83/hr
Responsibilities
- Provide broad operational support for various transactions and processing activities
- Ensure accurate, timely completion of tasks in line with established procedures and SLAs
- Assist with claims, data entry, and document uploads to vendor and ministry portals
- Support salvage recovery efforts and project-related activities
- Reconcile accounts and upload relevant documents to vendor portals
- Respond to internal requests and escalate issues when necessary
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service delivery
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to validate information and perform adjustments within authority levels
- Support adherence to industry and internal regulations, including AML and Business Continuity policies
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in managing sensitive information
- Participate in process improvements and contribute ideas for operational enhancements
- Contribute to analysis and reporting to strengthen operational processes
Desired Skill-Set
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to changing policies
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work activities
- Basic understanding of MM and FX products (options, FX forwards, deposits, loans)
- Knowledge of global and WSS platforms (an asset)
- Experience with data analytics and reconciliation (2 years preferred)
- Willingness to meet SLAs and handle high-volume workloads
Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge of AI tools like Microsoft Copilot
- Prior insurance experience, especially motor
- Additional reconciliation and data analytics experience
- Familiarity with industry regulations and global banking platforms
