Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Customer Support Specialist – Banking. This position involves providing administrative and operational support for commercial banking activities, ensuring compliance with AML and legal standards, and delivering high-quality service to internal partners and customers. The role is primarily onsite, offering a dynamic environment in a fast-paced department focused on accuracy and efficiency.

Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.87/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Open new commercial deposit accounts in accordance with bank procedures.
  • Process account change requests, including updates to signing authority.
  • Prepare and submit supporting documentation for account setup and maintenance.
  • Review legal and compliance documents to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Manage queues and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) consistently.
  • Send out and verify documents to meet banking compliance standards.
  • Attend team meetings and collaborate with internal partners via MS Teams.
  • Support commercial deposit account opening and maintenance activities for existing clients.
  • Follow AML, regulatory, and legal requirements for all transactions.
  • Demonstrate proactive problem resolution and resourcefulness in daily tasks.

Desired Skill-Set:

  • Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Good understanding of AML regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel (basic understanding).
  • Typing speed of at least 60-65 WPM.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to review and comprehend complex legal documents.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and applications.
  • Customer service experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Host applications and C3 is considered an asset.

Nice to Have:

  • Previous banking or financial institution experience.
  • Exposure to commercial banking operations.
  • Familiarity with compliance and operational procedures in banking.
