Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Cyber Project Manager. This position involves managing end-to-end cybersecurity projects within a regulated financial environment, ensuring timely delivery, risk mitigation, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain realistic project timelines and milestones
- Properly sequence work and adjust plans proactively as needed
- Identify risks early and escalate issues with clear impact and options
- Drive risk mitigation actions and track progress
- Monitor and control project budgets versus actuals and forecast accurately
- Manage project scope to prevent cost overruns
- Set clear expectations with stakeholders early in the process
- Negotiate scope, timelines, and resources when necessary
- Ensure decision-makers understand trade-offs and impacts
- Communicate complex technical and AI concepts effectively to diverse audiences
- Maintain high levels of organization, punctuality, and confidence
- Take ownership of obstacles and remove blockers proactively
- Apply strong financial and schedule discipline with a focus on outcomes
- Adapt to changing environments based on new findings and priorities
- Understand system architecture at a high level, SDLC, delivery methods, and integration points
- Navigate high-impact conversations in a clear, calm, and concise manner
Desired Skill-Set
- 7+ years relevant experience with end-to-end project delivery
- Proven expertise in cybersecurity and AI project management
- Experience working within a federal regulated industry, particularly financial institutions
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, capable of engaging with C-suite executives
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for varied audiences
- Strong organizational skills, punctuality, confidence, and diligence
- Creative, proactive, forward-thinking approach
- Robust financial, schedule, and risk management capabilities
- Technical understanding of system architecture, SDLC, and integration processes
- Comfortable navigating high-impact issues with clarity and professionalism
