Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an IT Agile Project Manager – Data Projects. The successful candidate will oversee complex digital and core banking projects within a dynamic team environment, driving delivery and stakeholder engagement. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to modernization efforts in a Tier 1 banking organization, working either remotely or onsite as required.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management for banking technology initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical teams to ensure delivery goals are met
- Facilitate Agile practices, including Kanban, and step in to facilitate Scrum ceremonies when necessary
- Coordinate application deployments, UAT environments, and release cycles
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, communicating project status and risks
- Monitor project scope, schedule, and budgets, ensuring timely completion
- Support and contribute to modernization, digital banking, or core banking projects
- Drive continuous improvement within the project team and delivery processes
Desired Skill-Set
- Strong Agile experience, with hands-on Kanban expertise
- PMP certification
- Development background (preferred)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Confident leadership style with the ability to influence and facilitate cross-functional teams
- Experience with application delivery, infrastructure, and operational technology
- Familiarity with UAT environments, deployment, and release management
- Banking experience, especially within a Tier 1 Canadian bank, preferred
- Proven stakeholder management skills, capable of working with Product Owners and technical teams
Nice to Have
- Background in modernization, core banking, or digital/e-banking projects
- Experience leading complex banking projects in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements
