Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Junior Project Control Officer – Banking. The position involves supporting project financial governance, resource management, and reporting within a fast-paced, program-driven environment. The incumbent will work closely with a dedicated team and senior stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency and compliance across various workstreams.

Pay rate range (CAD): $36.23/hr – $43.48/hr

Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of the project lifecycle, focusing on financial governance and resource management
  • Maintain and update project financial forecasts, track project progress, and escalate risks or issues as needed
  • Manage project financials including GL reconciliation, invoice reviews, accruals, chargebacks, and variance analysis
  • Prepare and present financial and status reports for leadership and executive committees
  • Support governance activities, identify process improvements, and assist in enhancing tools and reporting efficiency
  • Support resource allocation governance, onboard resources to proprietary tools, and assist users with technical issues
  • Exercise independent judgment within defined procedures and escalate issues when necessary
  • Participate in resource and project financial tool (Eclipse) first-line support and updates

Desired Skill-Set

  • 3–5 years experience in a Senior IT Project Coordinator, Project Control Officer, or similar role
  • Proven expertise managing program/project financials, including GL reconciliation and executive reporting
  • Strong multitasking abilities with adaptability to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Skilled in data extraction, manipulation, and reporting from various systems

Nice to Have

  • Experience working at FI and familiarity with GL reconciliation and Eclipse tool
  • Advanced skills in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Jira, Power BI, and Alteryx
  • Ability to synthesize data into impactful summaries and storytelling for senior audiences
