Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Junior Project Manager- Application Dev projects. This position involves supporting key project activities related to platform migration initiatives, requiring a proactive approach to planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement. Pay rate range (CAD): $68.00/hr – $72.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Support the Program Manager and Project Managers with project planning and updates in Microsoft Project.
- Track progress, manage project dependencies, and maintain RAID logs.
- Attend daily project calls to identify issues, dependencies, and gaps.
- Follow up on assigned tasks with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate regularly with business stakeholders and project teams.
- Assist with project coordination across two parallel releases.
- Gather, analyse, and report on project status and risks.
- Support the management of project issues, risks, and action items.
- Assist in maintaining project documentation and deliverables.
Desired Skill-Set
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Project and project plan management.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of project dependencies and case tracking.
- Experience or familiarity with hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments.
Nice to Have
- PMP or other PMI certification.
- Previous experience working within a large organization.
- Experience with financial services or banking projects.
- Familiarity with CIBC or similar financial institutions.
