Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Manual QA/Test Analyst. This position involves supporting testing for new build UC’s/confluence, enhancements, and ensuring system quality through comprehensive testing and collaboration with internal stakeholders. The role offers opportunities for long-term growth and the chance to work on complex projects within a dynamic team.
Pay rate range (CAD): $34.49/hr – $41.39/hr
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test scenarios for functional system integration and acceptance testing across multiple platforms
- Create test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure application quality
- Execute tests and analyze results against documented goals and objectives
- Define testing criteria and document results thoroughly
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure testing aligns with project requirements
- Participate in knowledge transfer, shadowing, and onboarding processes
- Contribute to testing efforts designated for complex and tight timeline deliverables
Desired Skill-Set
- 10+ years of experience as a Tester/QA
- Proficiency with in-house programming methods (Java, C++, etc.)
- Solid understanding of Windows and Microsoft platform concepts
- Experience with server administration and version control software (e.g., PVCS)
- Expertise in testing tools such as WinRunner, Mercury/QuickTest, Mercury SOFT
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, well-organized, capable of working independently and in teams
- Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities
Nice to Have
- ISTQB certification
- Agile methodology experience
- Accessibility testing experience
