Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a PowerBI Developer-(Databricks/DAX). This position involves developing and maintaining Power BI reports, transforming data, managing data pipelines, and supporting payment/money transfer platform reporting. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative financial solutions within a dynamic team environment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $50.00/hr – $55.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to translate business requirements into Power BI reports.
- Build, update, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Perform data transformations and data pipeline management using Databricks.
- Work with SQL databases and write complex queries to support reporting needs.
- Support tax calculations and financial reporting functions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security throughout reporting processes.
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing existing reports and developing new analytical solutions.
Desired Skill-Set
- Hands-on experience with Power BI reporting (3-5 years).
- Strong SQL expertise.
- Proficiency with Python and Databricks environment.
- Experience with data transformation and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with Unity Catalog and Databricks interface.
- Knowledge of financial and payment systems such as money transfer and reconciliation reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with PySpark or Py-Spark.
- Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
- Previous exposure to electronic funds transfer or ledger systems.
- Understanding of financial institutions’ reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with the client’s banking environment and transaction platforms.
