Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Power BI Developer – Banking. This position involves leading the design, development, and deployment of complex PowerBI dashboards and applications, integrating innovative AI tools such as CoPilot and VSCode to optimize workflows and improve data quality. Pay rate range (CAD): $75.62/hr – $90.75/hr
Responsibilities
- Automate delivery of PowerBI dashboards/apps to targeted audiences via email and Teams using Power Automate.
- Leverage AI tools to streamline development processes, reducing build time and increasing quality.
- Create workflow management scripts in PowerApps to enhance data collection from internal and external business partners.
- Design, engineer, and support visually intuitive, actionable PowerBI dashboards that facilitate decision making.
- Develop multi-dimensional data models from various data sources (SQL, XML, XLSX, CSV, SharePoint, web).
- Assist in ingesting and managing large datasets (over 100 million records) to optimize user experience.
- Collaborate with business partners to secure sensitive data through Active Directory groups and row-level security.
- Translate business, application, and security requirements into technical specifications to deliver enterprise reports.
- Provide expert consultation on PowerBI, Power Automate, and PowerApps best practices and standardization.
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and security compliance.
- Ensure successful deployment of BI solutions in collaboration with the Power Platform team and stakeholders.
- Document processes, logic, and user guidelines for dashboards and workflows.
- Research new automation and integration opportunities to continually improve BI processes.
Desired Skill-Set
- 10+ years of experience supporting PowerBI dashboards and apps, PowerAutomate scripts, and PowerApps.
- 2+ years of experience working with AI tools such as CoPilot and VSCode.
- Extensive expertise in Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerBI (dashboard and app design).
- Advanced skills in DAX, Power Query, and SQL data manipulation.
- Proven experience managing large datasets exceeding 100 million records.
- Hands-on experience with various data formats: SON, XML, XLSX, CSV, SharePoint, and web data.
- Working knowledge of data warehousing and data management optimization.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of information security principles, including lifecycle management, privileged access, and authentication/authorization.
- Experience within banking or financial services.
- Microsoft PL-300 certification or equivalent.
