Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist focused on regulatory awareness and monitoring. This contract position involves researching, analyzing, and implementing regulatory requirements, particularly in the U.S. (SEC and related regulations), to ensure compliance across all compensation plans and governance frameworks.
Pay rate range (CAD): $43.22/hr – $51.87/hr
Responsibilities
- Identify regulatory requirements impacting compensation plans, including for senior executives and material risk takers
- Focus on legislation from prudential regulators across jurisdictions where employees are located, emphasizing governance, risk management, and financial accountability
- Maintain and update a list of enterprise oversight functions monitoring relevant regulators and regulations related to incentive and variable compensation globally
- Establish and nurture relationships with oversight functions to stay informed of regulatory developments
- Assess regulatory updates, such as SEC clawback provisions, to determine compliance of compensation plans and communicate findings to HR and Total Rewards leadership
- Prepare responses to regulatory groups concerning compliance requirements for regulatory topics like clawbacks
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of compensation experience within regulatory or compliance environments
- 5+ years of HR/Compensation Governance experience
- 1+ years of banking industry experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication abilities
