Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Event Program Manager – Capital Markets/Investment. In this position, you will oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of a dynamic portfolio of client and advisor events—ranging from large-scale conferences to virtual webinars—designed to showcase investment products and foster client relationships. You will leverage your extensive experience in asset management and event planning to deliver seamless, engaging experiences that align with strategic business objectives.

Pay rate range (CAD): $54.35/hr – $65.22/hr

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for all events.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams—sales, marketing, compliance, legal, and external vendors—to ensure smooth execution.
  • Manage venue selection, vendor negotiations, and contracts, ensuring cost-effective arrangements.
  • Oversee event logistics such as registration, signage, collateral, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate on agenda setting, speaker invitations, and content development for various event formats.
  • Monitor event performance through attendee feedback, sales impact, and KPIs; generate reports to inform future planning.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Track expenses, reconcile invoices, and manage the event budget of approximately $1.5M to $2.6M.
  • Lead contingency planning and troubleshoot issues during event delivery to ensure flawless execution.
  • Continuously assess industry trends and best practices to innovate and enhance event experiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate collaboration and stakeholder alignment.

Desired Skill-Set

  • 7+ years of experience managing large-scale events within asset management or financial services.
  • Proven track record in planning and executing in-person and virtual events for capital markets or investment products.
  • Proficiency with event planning tools such as Cvent, Formsite, and webinar platforms.
  • Deep understanding of the investment industry, including regulatory considerations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines with exceptional organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership in coordinating cross-departmental teams and external vendors.
  • Experience working with external marketing agencies and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and digital communication tools.
  • Adaptable, proactive, highly professional, and capable of working independently.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in event marketing strategy and content development.
  • Knowledge of digital engagement metrics and reporting tools.
  • Prior experience supporting sales or client engagement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage international as well as domestic events and travel up to 20%.
