Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Program Manager – Data Project. This position involves managing large-scale cross-functional data initiatives, ensuring successful delivery while aligning with enterprise strategies and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive program management experience within banking or financial services, and possess strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and deliver multiple complex technology data projects in parallel, adhering to governance and compliance standards.
  • Manage and provide oversight to program teams including Business Analysts, SMEs, and technology resources under various project delivery frameworks (PDLC, Agile, hybrid).
  • Engage and collaborate with senior leadership, executive sponsors, and key stakeholders to achieve program objectives and ensure alignment.
  • Develop and maintain effective governance structures, reporting protocols, and communication channels for successful program oversight.
  • Maintain continuous communication with stakeholders on project status, risks, issues, and changes, escalating concerns when necessary.
  • Provide strategic guidance and best practices in program management to teams and business partners.
  • Allocate resources effectively, ensuring that project deliverables are achieved within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Generate accurate financial forecasts, track expenditures, and manage program budgets, incorporating risk and mitigation strategies.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage program risks, developing mitigation plans as needed.
  • Support vendor management activities, including RFP processes and partner collaboration, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Apply best practices in program lifecycle management, documentation, change control, and risk management to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Desired Skill-Set

  • 10+ years of Program Management experience in a large enterprise or banking environment.
  • Proven success leading multiple, complex technology projects with large budgets in parallel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams of Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of internal governance standards and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience managing executive stakeholders.
  • Skilled in managing and delivering outcomes in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to foster a professional, empathetic, and collaborative work environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate executive needs and align project goals accordingly.

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing complex data projects.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Project, Jira, Confluence, and Clarity.
  • PMP and/or Scaled Agile certifications.
  • Regulatory delivery experience.
  • Prior experience working at TD or similar financial institutions.
  • Additional relevant certifications or training in project or program management.
