Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a UX Content Writer – CMS. This position involves developing and refining compelling content for public-facing digital platforms within a collaborative design team, ensuring messaging aligns with brand standards, business objectives, and user needs. The role offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic environment, with potential for extension or transition to full-time employment.

Pay rate range (CAD): $50.72/hr – $60.87/hr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, edit, and proofread content for websites, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand voice and tone
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including UX designers, visual designers, regulatory, legal, and marketing stakeholders to deliver optimized content solutions
  • Conduct content audits, create content inventories, and support UX research activities as needed during project initiation phases
  • Write and build web pages within content management systems, troubleshooting issues and ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Maintain editorial standards, style guides, and ensure all content adheres to accessibility, SEO, plain language principles, and WCAG 2.0 standards
  • Facilitate content walkthroughs, gather feedback, and coordinate approvals with stakeholders
  • Support content translation processes and assist in onboarding and training team members on editorial workflows and CMS best practices
  • Proactively identify opportunities for site-wide content enhancements and contribute to ongoing style and content strategy improvements
  • Stay current on industry trends related to web accessibility, SEO, digital publishing, and content strategy
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, advocating for high-quality content and user-centered design principles

Desired Skill-Set

  • Degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, Technical Writing, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in digital content creation, editing, and copywriting for web or digital platforms
  • Strong knowledge of AP Style and experience applying it to digital content
  • Proven ability to write engaging, clear, and accessible content tailored to various audiences
  • Experience working collaboratively with UX, creative, and technical teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in content management systems, preferably Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present and justify content decisions effectively
  • Tech-savvy with openness to learning new tools and technologies including Confluence, Jira, and Figma

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of enterprise project management methodologies and publishing workflows
  • Experience with content strategy, inclusive writing, and diversity principles
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and plain language guidelines
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and user experience concepts
  • Financial or banking industry experience
