Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Project Control Officer – Banking. This position offers the chance to work within a leading financial institution on projects that foster professional growth and development. The role involves managing project controls to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
Pay rate range (CAD): $62.61/hr – $75.13/hr
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the RAID log, ensuring the accuracy and currency of Risk, Action, Issue, and Decision items.
- Prepare and consolidate reporting materials, including weekly status reports, ESC materials, and ad-hoc requests.
- Track and manage project interdependencies across workstreams and external teams.
- Consolidate monthly cost forecasts, monitor actual spend, and analyze variances.
- Maintain project change control documents, including the PCR list and related activities.
- Organize, track, and log project artifacts, assisting with compliance and delivery review processes.
- Monitor and report on project schedules, highlighting and escalating slippages for remedial action.
- Allocate approximately 25% of weekly time to meetings, primarily engaged with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure project deliverables adhere to timelines and quality standards.
Desired Skill-Set
- Exceptional proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, data manipulation, formulas, and chart creation.
- Experience with MS Project for project scheduling.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in project budget management.
- Proven experience in RAID log management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Nice to Have
- PMP certification.
- Familiarity with Clarity project management tools.
- Knowledge of Jira and Confluence platforms.
