Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a BIM Specialist – Autodesk Revit. This position involves leading the creation, management, and quality assurance of Revit-based building models to support construction and maintenance projects. The role offers a dynamic environment focused on digital standards, collaboration, and continuous improvement within a leading financial organization.
Pay rate range (CAD): $42.02/hr – $50.43/hr
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain precise Revit models aligned with project requirements and company standards.
- Develop, enforce, and update BIM standards, including families, naming conventions, and data hierarchy structures.
- Lead model federation and coordination among architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, managing data exchange with internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement and uphold BIM Execution Plan (BEP) requirements to ensure project consistency.
- Perform model QA/QC, conduct health checks, and troubleshoot issues related to performance or standards.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior BIM technicians, sharing best practices and troubleshooting insights.
- Support model packaging, publishing, and structured handover processes for reliable data transfer across teams and systems.
- Interpret legacy as-built documentation, including CAD, PDFs, point clouds, and survey data, documenting modeling assumptions and data confidence levels.
- Assist in generating drawings, schedules, and quantities directly from BIM models.
- Contribute to optimizing workflows by evaluating new tools and automating processes for efficient digital delivery.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, file organization, and ensure timely, quality submissions.
Desired Skill-Set
- 4-6 years of experience in BIM modeling or digital project delivery within the AEC industry.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, especially for modeling based on as-built and legacy documentation.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, Dynamo, and automation concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce BIM standards, develop BEPs, and conduct QA/QC processes.
- Experience coordinating and mentoring junior BIM technicians.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650–aligned information management principles.
- Experience with integrating data into enterprise facilities management systems.
- Ability to interpret and integrate point cloud and laser scan data into Revit models.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with 3D laser scans and point cloud data integration.
- Exposure to advanced automation tools and scripting within Revit.
- Familiarity with digital delivery workflows aligned with ISO standards.
- Prior experience supporting facilities management system data integration.
