IAM Automation Analyst – (VBA, Power Query, Power Automate)

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an IAM Automation Analyst – (VBA, Power Query, Power Automate). The successful candidate will support access management within a large organization, focusing on governance, incident response, and compliance, working in a hybrid environment with a focus on process optimization and risk mitigation.
Pay rate range (CAD): $61.49/hr – $73.79/hr
Responsibilities
- Review, validate, and process access requests submitted via ServiceNow and Jira
- Clarify requests with business and technology stakeholders as needed
- Manage dashboards to ensure timely processing and follow-up on pending approvals
- Communicate process changes to the team and document updates
- Respond to emails, address issues, and organize correspondence within relevant folders
- Support development of security management strategies and frameworks
- Assist in monitoring, detecting, and preventing security threats and breaches
- Conduct analysis to identify improper access, documentation issues, and toxic access combinations
- Support regulatory compliance reporting and audit preparation
- Participate in security incident responses and represent the security function during investigations
- Assess internal processes for potential improvements and efficiencies
- Follow enterprise policies, procedures, and standards related to technology controls and information security
- Contribute to reporting, metrics development, and ongoing risk assessment
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging security trends and regulatory changes
- Foster a proactive security culture across the organization and promote best practices
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and partners
- Support training and knowledge transfer within the team and to business units
- Prioritize workload to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
Desired Skill-Set
- 6+ years of experience in access management, data governance, and security controls
- Strong ServiceNow and Jira expertise
- Advanced Excel skills (macros, V-lookups, pivot tables, formulas)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel as a database
- Experience with governance and security-related data analysis
- Good understanding of access controls principles and segregation of duties
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Customer service orientation
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of automation tools like Power Query and Power Automate
