Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Banking Associate-Securities. This position involves providing operational support within a high-risk, compliance-heavy environment, focusing on processing and reviewing security and asset transactions to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.88/hr
Responsibilities
- Review and process asset and securities requests with precision
- Verify documentation and ensure compliance in a high-risk environment
- Process securities transactions accurately in accordance with standards
- Collaborate with internal and external partners during daily interactions
- Maintain operational effectiveness to meet service level agreements
- Support audit processes by following established procedures and guidelines
- Identify operational risks and escalate issues promptly
- Adapt to evolving policies, procedures, and technological updates in the department
- Assist in continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency
Desired Skill-Set
- 2-4 years experience in banking or financial services, specifically in operations or back-office roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience in transaction processing, particularly securities or asset transactions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling high-volume, high-risk activities
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to quickly learn new software and adapt to process changes
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Asset management or securities experience
- Knowledge of global and WSS platforms
- Understanding of foreign exchange products, cash products (loans, deposits, swaps, forwards)
- Experience working within risk compliance roles
