Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior BA/BSA – Personal Banking/Agile. This position involves working closely with a dynamic team to support the Needs Navigator project, a customer assessment tool used by branch advisors to enhance customer experience through personalized financial recommendations. The role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your analytical expertise and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced financial services setting.
Pay rate range (CAD): $65.00/hr – $70.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Elicit requirements through stakeholder interviews, research, and requirements gathering sessions.
- Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria for agile workflows.
- Create end-to-end process flow diagrams and business process maps.
- Lead backlog refinement sessions and assist the Product Owner in prioritizing work.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and address gaps.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Support the team from discovery through delivery, ensuring requirements are well understood and met.
- Act as a key point of contact for requirement clarification and issue resolution during delivery.
- Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance project deliverables.
Desired Skill-Set
- 15+ years of experience as a Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst.
- At least 8 years in Waterfall projects and 5 years in Agile environments.
- Self-starter with the ability to take ownership and drive initiatives independently.
- Strong understanding of banking products, accounts, investments, and personal credit offerings.
- Proven experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
- Skilled in mapping business processes and creating process flow diagrams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Proficient in writing user stories and managing product backlogs.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams and participating in ceremonies.
- Strong analytical mindset to guide the team through ambiguity and incomplete requirements.
- Solution-oriented approach with creative problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with customer assessment tools or similar banking applications.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Certification in Agile or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
- Familiarity with requirements management tools such as Jira or Confluence.
