BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technician

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technician. This position involves creating and maintaining accurate, data-rich 3D models using Autodesk Revit, supporting the modernization project within a dynamic team environment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $31.07/hr – $37.28/hr
Responsibilities
- Develop and update Revit BIM models representing as-built and existing conditions based on drawings, scans, and field information
- Convert 2D drawings, PDFs, and sketches into detailed 3D models
- Populate models with asset data, including room names, equipment types, and materials
- Generate construction documents such as plans, elevations, sections, and schedules from BIM models
- Perform quality assurance and quality control checks to ensure data accuracy and modeling standards compliance
- Maintain consistent project file organization, naming conventions, and model structure
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback and markups to ensure model fidelity
- Stay informed about BIM standards and best practices to support project quality and consistency
Desired Skill-Set
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities
- Familiarity with asset tagging, parameters, and metadata management within Revit
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and a collaborative approach
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working on large-scale organizational BIM projects
- Knowledge of asset management systems or facilities management processes
- Experience with field data collection or scanning technologies
- Understanding of architectural or MEP systems and their modeling requirements
