L&D Project Manager

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an L&D Project Manager. This position involves managing mid- to high-complexity training projects within a collaborative team environment, focusing on delivering impactful learning solutions across various formats.
Pay rate range (CAD): $77.17/hr – $92.61/hr
Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of the overall portfolio and program movement aligned with business priorities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of medium-to-high complexity L&D projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget
- Manage risks, issues, and stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycles
- Support vendor selection, onboarding, and management of third-party learning solutions when applicable
- Drive L&D processes to design and implement diverse learning solutions, including in-person, virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, webinars, and self-directed pathways
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Report project progress regularly to teams and business leaders
- Collaborate with Learning & Development Centers of Excellence and business partners to develop delivery strategies and communication plans
- Ensure robust governance, proactively manage risks, and conduct project retrospectives for continuous improvement
- Stay current with emerging trends in project management practices, including Agile and hybrid methodologies
- Share expertise and participate in the broader project management community to support professional growth
Desired Skill-Set:
- 5-7 years of project management experience in a learning or adult training environment
- Proven L&D project management experience in financial, banking, or insurance sectors
- Solid knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies (PMP and Agile/Scrum certifications preferred)
- Experience managing medium to high complexity projects within the L&D space
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite
- Ability to lead and facilitate virtual meetings using collaboration tools like MS Teams or Webex
- Knowledge of LMS, LXP, and eLearning standards (SCORM, xAPI, HTML5) is a plus
- Ability to translate business needs into effective learning solutions
Nice to Have:
- Previous banking or financial industry experience
- Program management or performance consulting background
- Experience with learning technology development tools such as Articulate Storyline or Rise
- Understanding of adult learning principles and diverse delivery methods
