Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Systems Analyst – Banking. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to new application development, with potential for extension or transition to full-time employment. The role is hybrid, requiring availability on Tuesdays and the second Friday of each month, with work hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Pay rate range (CAD): $61.59/hr – $73.91/hr
Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to gather and clarify requirements.
- Evaluate current business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and solution designs.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather requirements and validate proposed solutions.
- Assist in testing and validation to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Support organizational change management efforts, helping users adapt to new systems and processes.
Desired Skill-Set
- 6+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience, including requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
- 5+ years of experience working with MS Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint for process visualization, data analysis, and presentations.
- 2+ years of experience working with technical teams and case management systems such as ServiceNow or Resolver.
- 5+ years of experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Banking industry experience.
- Experience working with CIBC systems.
- Knowledge of SQL and database fundamentals.
