Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Operations Officer-KYC/KYB . This position involves providing day-to-day operational support within a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance and accuracy in processing business banking accounts and related documentation.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.88/hr
Responsibilities
- Review 100% of new Small Business Banking accounts and signatory changes for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure AML/KYC/KYB information is compliant with policies and procedures
- Support internal partners with questions, clarifications, and resolution of account deficiencies
- Maintain high attention to detail to mitigate operational risks
- Adhere to all operating policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service and support process improvements
- Multi-task efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Escalate issues when necessary and take ownership of tasks
- Support compliance review processes and contribute to ongoing process enhancements
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams
- Adapt to new technology and process changes as they are implemented

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Previous banking or financial institution experience (2-4 years)
- Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Bilingual in French and English (asset)
- Knowledge of host applications (asset)
- Experience in administrative or operations support roles
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working with financial institutions
- Knowledge of AML/KYC/KYB regulations and processes
- Past experience working in a high-volume operational environment
- Familiarity with banking systems and applications
- Post-secondary education or college diploma (asset)
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English (asset)
- Experience with process improvement initiatives
