Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Release Train Engineer. This position is pivotal in facilitating high-stakes credit card projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and delivering strategic value in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will manage and optimize Agile Release Trains, ensuring seamless delivery of multiple features aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile Release Train processes, including PI Planning, System Demos, and Pre- and Post-PI meetings
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure dependencies, architecture, and delivery order are managed effectively
  • Escalate impediments, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Manage and optimize flow of value through ARTs using various tools like Kanban
  • Lead, coach, and train a small team of Agile professionals
  • Communicate status, risks, issues, and financials to senior leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the enterprise
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities and expectations

Desired Skill-Set

  • 10+ years of experience delivering high-complexity credit card features within Agile frameworks in cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of direct experience with data conversions, preferably in a credit card environment
  • 5+ years of experience presenting status updates, risks, issues, mitigations, and financials to senior leaders
  • Strong financial management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to mitigate risks, manage ambiguity, and solve problems creatively
  • Confident storytelling abilities tailored for diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to lead through change and pressure effectively

Nice to Have

  • Certified SAFE Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFE Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMP, or other Agile certifications
  • Prior experience within the banking or financial services sector, particularly with credit card products
