Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. BSA/QE-Mainframe/Payments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex requirements gathering, system design, and stakeholder collaboration within a dynamic banking environment. The successful candidate will drive delivery of key initiatives, support ongoing API and mainframe data inquiries, and contribute to strategic Business Technology solutions.
Pay rate range (CAD): $62.20/hr – $80.61/hr
Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current processes and design future state solutions.
- Manage and trace system requirements through design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
- Support testing activities by translating requirements into test cases, conditions, and expected results.
- Lead requirement elicitation sessions and document user stories using Behavior-Driven Development methodology.
- Provide technical guidance and collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Developers to ensure project goals are met.
- Monitor progress against timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Promote innovation by applying subject matter expertise to optimize system functionalities and processes.
- Support change management and operational readiness activities post-implementation.
- Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with standards and frameworks.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Desired Skill-Set
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Software Engineer, or Quality Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience in querying and maintaining data on Mainframe screens.
- Strong hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Proven experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework.
- Expertise in Behavior-Driven Development for writing user stories.
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence for requirements management and documentation.
- Skilled in testing, gap analysis, and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Customer data experience and familiarity with banking or financial services is an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot or Github Copilot is a plus.
