Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Project Manager-Prime Brokerage. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a critical business-led initiative aimed at expanding into Asian markets, with significant visibility and strategic importance for the organization. The role involves managing complex projects through all phases, engaging senior stakeholders, and delivering impactful results within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and deliver projects in alignment with business and enterprise strategies.
- Lead cross-functional teams, providing clear direction and coaching throughout the project lifecycle.
- Engage with executive sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure active participation and alignment on project objectives.
- Establish project governance structures and oversee compliance with enterprise project management standards.
- Provide regular updates on project status, financials, and risks to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Apply organizational change management principles to ensure smooth adoption and implementation of project outcomes.
- Manage project scope, adjusting as necessary to meet objectives and balance stakeholder needs.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget tracking.
- Monitor project health, execute corrective actions proactively, and escalate issues promptly.
- Facilitate communication between project teams and high-level executives, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement activities related to the project.
- Ensure deliverables adhere to quality, compliance, and performance standards.
- Track and report on project financials, including forecasts, actuals, and variances, ensuring transparency.
- Support project closure activities, including benefits realization and documentation.
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in financial services.
- Proven ability to manage projects within global markets and equities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, especially with executive-level stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge of equities, global markets, and trading processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Experience working in ambiguity, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills for tracking, logging, and documenting project progress.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Synthetic Prime trading or related markets.
- Knowledge of synthetic prime structures and operational details.
- Familiarity with organizational change management methodologies.
- Experience working with large, high-profile banking projects.
