Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Jr. Financial Reporting Analyst – MD&A & Earnings Disclosure. This position involves supporting the management team by providing detailed financial analysis and ensuring accuracy in critical disclosure materials.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $32.61/hr
Responsibilities
- Cross-referencing data between source documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Verifying changes to the Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) for correctness.
- Conducting audits of tabular data and narrative content in financial reports.
- Supporting the review of French-language MD&A and Earnings Release documentation.
- Assisting the Manager, Finance, with auditing functions and reporting procedures.
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant financial analysis experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
- Investigative mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving priorities.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Nice to Have
- Experience in auditing processes.
- Fluency or proficiency in French.
- Prior experience within a publicly traded or regulated environment.
- Knowledge of financial disclosure regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with financial software and tools beyond Microsoft Office.
