Business System Analyst – Archer/Financial Crime

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business System Analyst – Archer/Financial Crime. You will support end-to-end project delivery within the Information Security domain, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions aligned with enterprise architecture. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical financial crimes technology initiatives with potential for extension and full-time employment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $77.32/hr – $92.78hr
Responsibilities
- Gather and document complex technical and functional requirements from business and technology stakeholders
- Facilitate solution design discussions to ensure alignment with project needs
- Develop and validate solution design documents, including scope, workflows, and quality assurance plans
- Collaborate with application development, engineering, and architecture teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
- Support end-to-end project implementation, providing guidance and mentorship to technical teams
- Build strong relationships across teams to foster productive collaboration
- Identify and resolve operational and organizational challenges during project delivery
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in requirements elicitation and solution design in software development lifecycle (waterfall and agile methodologies)
- Strong technical background with working knowledge of back-end systems and data manipulation
- Proven experience with requirements documentation for technical solutions
- Knowledge of agile project delivery practices
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical details for diverse audiences
- Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience leading projects in a Business Systems Analyst role
Nice to Have
- Application knowledge in Exor and Archer
- Previous experience in the financial services sector
- Familiarity with enterprise security systems and tools
- Experience with requirements management tools and methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability and attention to detail
